Last week at Advertising Week in New York City Leapfrog Online EVP Jason Wadler and Eric Ferguson, Director of Digital Client Services at Nielsen, led a discussion during OMMA Response titled “Customer Acquisition and Relationship-Building in a Mobile Age.”
Besides having the honor of presenting to fellow practitioners alongside Eric Ferguson, this event was a perfect opportunity to speak about Leapfrog Online’s point of view on how mobile is a powerful tool to engage and drive new customer in the digital space when used correctly.
Driving sales with mobile marketing is a hot topic this year, with the proliferation of smartphones and tablets and the increasing amount of time consumers are using mobile to research and buy a number of products. As we discussed in our presentation, mobile requires entirely new approaches for building out consumer experiences that engage the mobile consumer the way they want to be engaged in order for them to take the action you, as a marketer, want them to take. It’s a great opportunity but one that will require a great deal of testing and optimization to truly realize its full potential.
